Definitely a great choice for those who enjoy playing magic-style games, however an update that includes more cards and spells would be nice!

Do not update. The game gets slower and annoying flickers keep popping-up. Definitely better before. Is there any way to revert back to the previous release? (used on IPOD 3rd gen) - news: Ive learned how to rollback (on osX). If you happened to update to the nasty 1.2, check in the trash-bin and look for ORIONS 1.1.ipa. If you dont have it, then learn to co-exist with ver 1.2. If you have it, go USER/music/itunes/mobile applications and hunt for ORIONS 1.1.1.ipa, rename it and move it somewhere else. Copy Orions 1.1 to that folder, then drag the file in ITUNES app. (youll be asked if you are sure... well... you are). Then delete ORIONs from you mobile device and then sync. Back to normal. hope this helps.

Hey, this is a great game, but if U not UPDAAAAAAAATE become awful... An iPad version? And reverseable display? Chillingo is a great software house, but with this game the rating goes OFF. WHY?

I bought this on my iPod touch 1g and havent played it in over 6 months. I cant believe they never released the so called promised updates. This 5 star game has now become a 2 star for its lack of support.

Only 4 stars because its overall a great game but has several issues. 1. Crashes to desktop even if I restart the phone prior to playing the game. Think this happens when I have too many resources. 2. Tutorial needs to explain you start with limited number of cards. I did not realize I couldnt cast same card in multiple games without buying more. 3. Limitation on number of buildings gets old quick. Need to mention this as well. 4. Having to hunt for Orion to buy cards is irritating. Give me a universal locale to do so. 5. AI hovers between to Orions. Why? 6. No update in a VERY long time. 7. I want the ability to build my own deck rather than having to play a random set. Fix these and its well worth the money! But as it is, this game should be on serious sale. Maybe $0.99 since its so old at this point. Please, give us an update so that the game is usable on the newer iOSs!

The game is fun and drenching with potential but the devs have abandoned it and seem to care little for their userbase.

It is such a wonderful game, but the developer never update. What a pity! If it supports game center, and invite our friend to play together, It will be a Super wonderful game!

Do not buy. This game is no longer supported. Developer is going to release a sequel supposedly in December 2010

I noticed that there is an expansion pack available for this game, for Pocket-PC, called: Orions: The Second Age Why is the expansion not available for the iPhone(Touch)?

Its just frustrating. I cant play anymore, it just crashes all the time.

Please make a new card pack because i would buy it in a heart beat!!!

This is an awesome game! If you like the genre, you will like this game, the best in class. Would love new cards or a new version thats available on pc! Duel mode is great and Ive been playing for months, never gets old.

This is an initially fun game that gets old very very quickly. The campaign game errors out often and since there hasnt been an update since December of 2008 I doubt I will see a fix unless someone who cares takes it over. If you are a Magic the Gathering player this will be intriguing and initially will be fun but dont expect any new cards or any of the bugs to be fixed. If you are okay with those limitations then this game will be fun for you.

There is no question that this is a fantastic game, and I really love it. It has not been updated though since 2008. It crashes frequently. It has interface issues such as how on a text screen you swipe your finger but it does not register until you remove your finger from the display. It needs to have the expansion packs added to match the Pocket PC version of the game, spelling and grammatical mistakes need to be fixed, and more general maintenance. For the $5 thats being asked for this title it needs to be shown that the developer is willing to maintain and update it it through the many iDevice and iOS iterations.

Im not going to re-hash most of the other reviews. Yes, there are a few bugs, but Id hardly call this a beta release because of that. Yes, the game desperately needs some new cards. Ive been playing it for almost a year and really love. Yes, itd be great to have the ability in the player to player game to be able to build decks. Sadly, looking at the Chillingo website, it looks like they no longer support the game. Not a mention of it anywhere.

I wonder if the developers are still paying attention to their game. What happened to the updates. Game is fun, but it needs more cards. Update please!

Gameplay is pretty fun once you learn the cards. Ive encountered some game breaking bugs in a couple hours of Gameplay that delete purchased buildings, meaning you cannot get all the cards in the game. New review coming if this is addressed. From what I gather from other reviews, it sounds like the devs have abandoned this game years ago. Buyer, just know what youre getting into.

If you like magic the gathering and are looking at this app because you want to play mtg on your iPhone you should get this app immediately! It isnt magic the gathering but you would be surprised at how close it really is. When I was much younger I played magic (like ten years ago lol) but have always to some extent missed it and wish I could play again. This app completely satisfies!

v1.2: Took a year but they came through! Cant wait for Orions 2! I still play this 3 years after I downloaded it. Cant say that about many other apps. Thanks for coming through Chillingo. :) bug report: after you press the button to finish your turn the top player bar flickers. annoying! ------------------------- v:1.1:I play this game far and away more than any other on my ipod since I got this back in 2008. Why the 1 star? Because the support for it has been terrible, and they have done nothing in 2 years to correct the copius bugs in the game. Random crashing, Flaming Arrow has some terrible math in it if you play against the computer, itll usually hit you for 10+ every time, even when youre only 1 mana under the computers for example. There are tons of expansions out for this too, they are sitting on a gold mine and doing NOTHING to claim it. Guess well just wait for WOTC or someone else to make a M:TG ipod game or clone thereof. Itll happen Chillingo, unless you beat em to it. PS... 5 star review if you update this app. Wont wait forever though, neither will the thousands of others who supported this.

Updating my rating because this is the first thing I got on my iPhone 3g and its still been on my phone to this day. I can pretty much play the game with my eyes closed at this point. Orions 2 is more than 2 years past due and I hope they dont take this long to update again. Not sure if they had trouble with chillingo or what but if so they should publish their games by themselves more frequently. cant wait for orions 2 its going to be the new best game for iOS. I hope they make an iPad version because they could do so much with all the extra space like showing on the side card info, play history, stats like how long youve been playing how many cards you played total damage done by each player etc! But I just cant wait for the next game is going to be unbelievable!
